Ruby (ROO-bee) is the only other known instance of a "living cartoon character" on the planet of Tela besides Puri, exhibiting nearly identical physical and magical properties to her counterpart. She appeared very suddenly one day after years of Puri being convinced she was the only one of her kind, and is unable to explain why the two had never met prior. Ruby is marginally less adept at wielding her powers, hindered by a nearly constant stream of distracting thoughts, often leading to magical mistakes with embarrassing results. She is extremely cheerful, which makes it all the more astonishing when an intrusive thought slips out. Living in an apartment in the metropolitan city of Convale, she works as a superhero to protect the populace.
Personality
Ruby is highly excitable and upbeat, but can be just as serious when the moment calls for it. She is the more "cutesy" one compared to Puri, exhibiting traits more stereotypical of a magical girl. Despite this outward appearance, she has a secret: An extremely filthy and perverted mind. In the privacy of her own home, or after repeated reassurance from someone she trusts, the filter can be flipped off and result in things that would even make Puri blush. This train of thought is constantly running and is the primary cause of her magical troubles: It's hard to concentrate on fighting an enemy when you can't stop thinking indecent things about them.
Abilities

Ruby is much less skilled with her powers compared to Puri, and she has a near-constant stream of distracting thoughts racing through her mind that often interferes with her spellcasting and general train of thought. This can cause her to blurt out inappropriate things or make magical mistakes with embarrassing results. She is blessed with unaturally heightened senses — Particularly being able to hear things at ranges and volumes that others (even Puri) cannot, and enhanced vision that can even see beyond the edges of the visible spectrum. Her offensive power is typically life-themed, feeling a deep closeness with the planet and exhibiting control over its flora and elements like the water or land. She is extremely strong as well, unable to match Puri's speed but outdoing her when it comes to raw force. Like Puri, she also has general-purpose magic like telekinesis and flight, her wings being similarly rarely visible to the naked eye but red, more rounded, and terminating at her back with a swirl shape.
Ruby uses her abilities alongside Puri to combat the otherworldly "anomalies" of Convale, and occasionally goes off on her own to handle smaller disturbances alone. Her power is limited by her own stamina.

Transformation: Radiant Heart
When things are looking grim, Ruby concentrates to take on her Radiant form. Like Puri's transformation, this increases her power while tiring her out faster and gives her a similar pair of magic-channeling bracelets, plus the extra benefit that her mind is almost completely clear of any interfering thoughts. If she needs to maximize her strength, her wand becomes the handle of Cataclysm, a shimmering rainbow hammer of incredible size and weight.

Employment
Ruby works alongside Puri with Trinity Division to keep the city safe from monsters and criminals, similarly holding the rank of Commander but rarely exercising the power that comes with the title. Despite Trinity's knowledge of her frequent mishaps, she is still highly regarded, as the possibility of her succeeding far outweighs the risk of any trouble she might get herself into. (You, the viewer, may see her fail most of the time, but this is only because for the most part her successes are far less interesting.) Fortunately, her blunders almost never endanger anyone other than herself. Any excessively embarrassing situations she ends up in are seemingly forgotten by the general public just as quickly as they occur.
